How to care for your handcrafted items

Wash your handcrafted items in cold water and delicate laundry detergent. For a wool item, use wool wash, available in a variety of natural brands. Set the machine on delicate/gentle or use a front-loading machine. Hand washing is also recommended when possible.

To treat a stain, mix water and delicate laundry detergent in equal parts and "dab" mixture on the spot. Let set for a couple of minutes, then gently rub the fabric together. Apply clean new wet sponge or towel several times to remove detergent and water.

To minimize pilling on sherpa and fleece, do not machine dry. Air dry flat. Do not line dry crocheted or knitted items as the weight of the wet yarn will pull and distort the shape.
